Password Reset

Forgotten passwords are the single largest end-user issue. e-motion software’s Password Reset function is the solution. Every day helpdesks are bombarded with calls from end-users who have forgotten their passwords. The standard Oracle^® login link does not provide a resolution to the issue, thus end-users are forced to call the help desk to reset the password.

This is slow, inefficient, and frustrating. Password Reset solves the issue and eliminates it forever.

The Password Reset tool actually incorporates two tools in one. This is done by replacing the standard Oracle^® login page with a new one that has two hyperlinks on it. The first link allows users to retrieve their Username. The second allows them to reset their password.

Simple

Password Reset is modeled after the standard password reset functionality available on most websites. Even if the user is using Password Reset for the first time, all the components will seem familiar and the user will know where to go next, without the need for complex instructions or training.

Seamless

Password Reset functions as part of the Oracle^® applications. There are no outside websites to go to, or other applications to open. The user simply clicks on a link from the login page, enters in some information, and the password is reset. The user can then re-login immediately with the new password.

Integrated

Password Reset validates a user’s identity by going directly to the Oracle^® database and running queries against it. This tight integration ensures incredible reliability.
