Responsibility Management

Responsibility Management solves one of the most important questions faced by all Oracle® System Administrators:

“Who has access to which data?”

Until now, there was no easy way to find that out. It often required plenty of time-consuming research and the answer was often outdated since data can change constantly.

Times have changed.

Using Responsibility Management, a System Administrator or Database Administrator, can quickly, easily, and accurately identify who has access to which responsibilities in real-time. The user can complete any of the following queries below with the click of a button.

* Employees with a particular responsibility

* Employees without a single responsibility

* Usernames that are not attached to any employee

* Usernames that are attached to more than one employee

* User accounts that are expiring in “X” number of days

* User accounts created in “X” days prior

* All users that have been given “X” responsibilities in “Y” days prior

Results are displayed in a simple table that can be arranged and sorted. The table can also be exported to Excel for further investigation.

In addition to the query capabilities, Responsibility Management also enables the System Administrator to make changes to the user account. A System Administrator can do the following transactions:

* End date a responsibility

* User Account expiration update for a particular responsibility

* Bulk assignment of responsibilities (by org, job, location, etc.)

* Bulk end-dating of responsibilities (by org, job, location, etc.)

Security

Responsibility Management enables System Administrators enforce security policies that are in place by providing a simple, easy to use function to quickly identify who has which responsibility. Each day that passes with persons having access not identified with their position is unnecessary and insecure.
